A SCHOOL student will have her artwork printed on a 31ft logistics truck after coming runners up in a competition.
Fourteen-year-old Tilly Daley from Westholme school in Blackburn, took part in the art competition by Transport Training Academy, where young people submitted art showing different ways of getting goods from A to B.
Tilly's design featured a truck, train, plane, hot air balloon, and a rocket.
School Principal, Lynne Horner, said: "We’re so proud of Tilly’s achievement and can’t wait to see her artwork printed on the truck. We encourage our students to be creative in their studies and Tilly really took this on board."
Five other designs were chosen along with Tilly's from the North West to be displayed on the truck, which will be unveiled on Monday November 12 at 10am.
Tilly also won a £50 Amazon voucher and a £300 grant for the school.
The competition was launched to support the campaign to attract more young people into the logistics industry.
David Coupe, Managing Director of Transport Training Academy, said: "We’re thrilled to see the winning designs that will be featured on our truck – our judging panel had a tough job but Tilly has captured the essence of the industry brilliantly."
