EUXTON and Leyland libraries will host special performances of poems, speeches, playlets and monologues by the the 'Modern Day Suffragists' to mark 100 years since women first got the vote.
They will be at Leyland Library on Saturday (27/10) from 11.30am to 12.30pm and at Euxton Library on Saturday November 3 from 11.30am to 12.30pm. The shows are free. The suffragists were women who joined together in 1897 to fight for females to get the vote through peaceful means.
