ONE of Blackburn’s longest-established butchers has hung up his cleaver after 35 years.
Nigel Easton has served generations of customers at Easton’s Butchers, in Whalley New Road, alongside wife Denise, but has now called it a day.
He said: “It has been a wonderful journey and I do not know where the years have gone.
“It has been fantastic to serve the Brownhill community with all their meat requirements and I have some lovely memories of the customers that have passed through the shop and would like to thank them for their loyal support.”
His premises are now being marketed by East Lancashire estate agent Trevor Dawson. If anyone is interested in the shop, which has a self-contained flat above, they can call 01254 681133.
