A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a two-car crash in Clayton-le-Moors last night.
The incident happened on Whalley Road at 8.07pm when a red Vauxhall Vectra and black Volkswagen car were involved in a crash.
Nobody was seriously hurt.
Insp Andy Willis said: “There were two vehicles involved in the crash and both drivers suffered minor injuries.
“A female driver is being investigated on suspicion of drink driving and has been arrested."
A spokesman for the fire service said: “There were some reports that someone was trapped in the vehicle but we looked at cutting them out but when we started they climbed out of the other side.
“The main road was closed for the half-hour we were there and police are investigating.”
