Fire crews have attended a small oven fire in a house on Heightside Lane, Crawshawbooth.
Crews from Rawtenstall and Haslingden were called to extinguish a fire that had started in an Aga oven just after 7.30pm on Thursday September 27.
The fire started after insulation inside the oil-fired appliance caught alight.
Hand tools were used to access the insulation before the fire was smothered.
A fire service spokesman said: "Two appliances, from Rawtenstall and Haslingden attended a small oven fire in a property off Bonfire Hill in Crawshawbooth at around 7.40 last night.
"Crews remained at the incident for about two hours while they tried to access the fire and extinguished it using smothering tools and a hosereel.
"Fans were then used to extract smoke from the property."
There were no casualties as a result of the incident.
