A MAN suffered neck injuries in a crash between a car and a heavy goods vehicle.
A crew from Accrington Fire Station attended the incident between a Vauxhall Zafira and an ERF wagon which happened before 7am this morning on the A680 and A56 Rising Bridge roundabout.
Watch manager Tony Spencer said: "One person was slightly injured but we did not have to cut him out.
"The ambulance service were dealing with it.
"One lane of the carriageway on the roundabout was closed and it was causing traffic to build up."
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We received a call from the ambulance service at 6.40am when a Vauxhall Zafira and a green ERF wagon were in collision.
"The man in the car suffered a neck injury and the fire service got him out of the car."
