A LITTLE-known root vegetable could help a Lancashire school or college win £5,000 and a trip to Holland.
Organisers of the Chicory Challenge want catering and domestic science lecturers and teachers to help their students dream up some great new recipes for chicory.
The winners will receive £5,000 for their school or college, plus an all-expenses paid trip to Holland in November, for the final "cook-off".
Teams of up to three students or staff can submit new recipe ideas at the website below by October 12.
