A dispute between two groups of men inside a Darwen nightclub spilled over on to the street and ended in violence, magistrates heard.
Grant Bond was with a number of friends and they became involved with another group.
And after some "pushing and shoving" outside Marigolds, Bond punched one of the other males on the nose before walking away, the Blackburn court was told.
Bond, 18, of Progress Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to assaulting Ian Cardew.
He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Clare Knight, defending, told the magistrates that alcohol had been drunk by both sides and the argument in the pub was over "something and nothing."
"He accepts that he punched the other man but there were no lasting injuries," said Miss Knight.
