WHO ARE YOU?

Neal Burton (lead vocals and guitar), Joss Croasdale (bass guitar), Swanny (lead guitar) and Austin Clarke (drums).

WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM?

Nobody really knows why we came up with the name The Torrents. It just appeared and has stuck since.

DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC

Our music lies very much within the indie pop bracket. taking influences from bands such as The Libertines and The Jam and adding our own unique blend to it.

INFLUENCES?

The Libertines, The Strokes, The Jam, The Clash.

BAND STORY

The band formed when Neal and Swanny decided to jam together and write songs. However, for the band to become successful the addition of bass guitar and drums was essential. Joss was added to the line-up a few months after Neal and Swanny first got together with Austin, a more recent addition after replacing the band's original drummer.

HIGHLIGHT?

There have been many highlights already. However, headlining at Liverpool's Cavern Club has been the best so far.

WHAT DO YOU SING IN THE SHOWER?

We tend not to sing in the shower.

BEST LIVE MUSIC VENUE IN BLACKBURN?

It's difficult to pick the best venue when there's very few to pick from. The one that stands out would be the Cellar Bar.
