PEOPLE in Pendle are being given the opportunity to recycle more rubbish with the launch of a new drinks carton recycling scheme.
Pendle Council is working with Tetra Pak and the carton industry group ACE UK to set up three carton collection points.
Empty drinks cartons can be taken to be recycled at collection banks at Asda in Colne, Goitside Car Park in Nelson and Boot Street in Earby.
Coun John David, executive member for the environment, said: "People have always responded well to the different recycling schemes in Pendle, but we've set ourselves some tough recycling targets to meet.
"Lots of people have asked about being able to recycle waxed cartons."
