A 23-year-old disqualified driver who was working in his uncle's car sales business found the temptation to get behind the wheel too strong to resist.
But Aftab Bakhat, defending, told Blackburn magistrates his client had attempted to make sure there was no repeat by getting a different job - in a chip shop.
Usman Hussain, 23, of Irene Place, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified. He was sentenced to four months in prison suspended for 18 months, made subject to community supervision for 18 months and banned from driving for three years.
The court heard that Hussain was subject to two bans one of them running until 2010. He had five previous convictions for disqualified driving.
