POLICE divers searched a reservoir as officers said they were becoming increasingly concerned about a missing man.

Father-of-two, Joseph Farrow, 64, also known as Eddie, has not been seen since 10.30pm on last Wednesday in Haslingden Road, Blackburn.

Police have been speaking to relatives and members of the public in a bid to establish his whereabouts.

Posters have been put up around town and an appeal was played on the big screen during Blackburn Rovers' last match at Ewood Park.

In addition the force helicopter has searched the area where he went missing, but police have drawn a blank.

Now search teams including mountain rescue, the underwater search unit and specialist search dogs have been dafted in.

Yesterday divers searched Fishmoor Reservoir.

Officers are continuing to urge members of the public to contact them if they have any information.

Police said Mr Farrow had gone missing while undergoing hosptial treatment at the Royal Blackburn.

Detective Inspector Andy Hulme said: "Mr Farrow has not been seen for almost a week and we are extremely concerned for his safety.

"He needs medication and was suffering from pneumonia at the time of his disappearance.

"He will be very confused and disorientated and I urge anyone with information to contact the police immediately."

Joseph is described as white with short, dark brown, straight hair and of medium build.

He has a tanned complexion and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark jumper with a stripe across the front, blue jeans and black shoes.
