REGENERATION plans for the historic area of Whitefield, in Nelson, will be kept on track by a new project manager.
Paul Crowther, the new Townscape Heritage Initiative Manager for Pendle Council, will be leading plans to transform the area over the next five years.
Proposals to convert Lomeshaye Bridge Mill and St Mary's Church into multi-function buildings are currently being drawn up and owners of the buildings Heritage Trust North West are working with Mr Crowther to ensure they are restored sympathetically.
Other historic buildings and features in the area may also be restored with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
