HASLINGDEN STREET FAIR Frances Whitehead and Carol Duckworth decided last November that together they would put Haslingden back on the Map of Rossendale again.

They both started planning this project by getting in touch with everyone, who'd had contacted Community Action in Rossendale. They asked them what they thought about us planning this Project and asked if they wanted to help.

Over the past eleven months, the project has grown. They had regular meeting's, some with the regular people and also other people as they heard more about it. People who wanted their Charity's involved.

They then started to apply for funding, which we got from various funder's such as C.A.R. Awards for all, Lancashire County Council, the Mayor's Charity and the Lancashire Local.

They had support from various people, some of which have asked to remain anonymous. Here is a brief list, Peter Sweetmore, Bill Greenwood from Greenfield Garden's, Gladys Sandiford, David Lorroway from Lighting and Building Services and a whole lot more.

The people of Haslingden have responded to what we all want, Haslingden back on the map of Rossendale.
