Designs for the replacement fence surrounding the Village Stocks have been costed and approved. It is hoped that they will be installed in the very near future.
The final decision on the design was made by the residents that attended the July Area Council Meeting. One style in two heights had been presented and the vote was unanimous for a higher fence to protect the stocks which are a Listed Monument.
It is hoped that approval can be given for the timbers to be refurbished with the old ones being stored at Haworth Park. Furthermore plans are being looked at to landscape the area in future phases.
