A MOTORIST killed on the A59 in Clitheroe earlier this week has been named as Gilda Dickinson, 60, of Rakehead Lane, Stacksteads.
The former art teacher was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem examination confirmed she died of chest injuries incurred when her Mazda car was involved in a collision with a Peugeot 106 as she pulled out of Pendle Road.
An inquest into her death has been adjourned pending further toxicology tests. A full inquest will be carried out and date will be set in the coming weeks.
