RESIDENTS have been asked to take part in looking after a youth hostel after it was saved from closure.
Pendle Council bought Earby Youth Hostel after plans by the Youth Hostel Association (YHA) to sell it caused outrage last year.
Now, it is leased back to the YHA under an agreement to ensure it remains open to visitors, and the council is setting up a "friends" for the hotel.
A meeting will be held at the parish rooms, Water Street, Earby, on September 12 at 7pm.
