ARCHAEOLOGISTS who worked on the Roman Road near Eccleshill over 20 years ago are being sought by a new group working at the site.
Darwen Archaeology and Local History Society members are excavating and researching the area at Davyfield Bridge.
The area was subject to a dig by the old Blackburn Archaeology Society in 1984 and now the Darwen society is asking anyone with information about it or photographs taken to come forward and share what was discovered.
Anyone who can help should telephone 01254 619803. Those who want to assist with the dig should telephone 07751 248984.
