WHY not treat the kids before they have to return to school with a trip to Manchester on September 1 to see their celebrated Mr Men and Little Miss show?

The all-new production was launched to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the famous characters and features fantastic costumes, great scenery and plenty of catchy interactive songs for youngsters to join in with.

Featuring Mr Tickle, Mr Happy, Mr Bump, Little Miss Naughty, Little Miss Bossy and many more.

In 1971 over the breakfast table young Adam Hargreaves asked his father a question "What does a tickle look like?" Roger proceeded to draw a little orange person, with impossibly long arms and big toothy grin and a blue hat! And so, Mr Tickle was born and with him a children's phenomenon that has been enjoyed by generations of children ever since.

The Mr Men then received a further boost when they were joined in 1981 by the now equally successful Little Miss books. There are now 22 translations of the Mr Men and Little Miss books published all over the world.

Children will love seeing their favourite, familiar characters talk live to them on stage, while parents will take a nostalgic trip down memory lane, bringing back happy memories of their own childhood! After all, everyone young and old has a favourite Mr Man or Little Miss!

Mr Men and Little Miss, Manchester Palace Theatre, Saturday, September 1, 2pm. Call box office on 0870 60 77 471.
