John Shuttleworth and Heather Bray of Fielding st held their recent engagement party at Rishton Cricket Club. The couple asked for donations instead of presents and have decided to split the amountbetween two causes, Rishton Utd JFC andThe British Heart Foundation, which is the chosen charity at Thwaites Brewery, where john works. The couple have strong links with football. John's son, Barry, is a former full time professional footballer and Heather's late father, john played for Blackburn Rovers in the 1960 FA Cup Final and was born and bred in Rishton, so they decided the local junior football team was a worth cause. John and Heather would like to thank everyone for their kind donations.
The Walmsley arm also topped up Jhon and Heather's donations to become the New kit sonsors for Rishton Utd U10's Red.
