A DRUNKEN mother-of-three who beat up her partner has been given an 18-month community order.
Burnley Magistrates had previously been told how Sharon Brooker, 42, had left victim Shaun Ellis with facial injuries and a bite mark on his chest.
He had been found lying on the bed by police and told officers she had battered him.
Brooker, 42, who carried out the attack in front of her three children, admitted common assault on July 27.
The defendant, of Holcombe Drive, Burnley, had earlier been told by the bench they thought she needed help with her drink problem.
The court had been told how around 11pm, police were called after a report of a disturbance at the defendant's home.
Brooker let them in. She was extremely drunk and the young children in the property were clearly upset.
She and her partner had been in a violent struggle and officers found him lying on a bed.
Brooker was arrested, taken to the police station and interviewed the day after, when she had sobered up. She made no comment to questions.
The defendant had no previous convictions for violence.
The court had earlier been told how the defendant accepted when she drank too much she could lose her temper.
A neighbour had called police.
