A RAMSBOTTOM-based company has been awarded the Investors in People award for its continued commitment to developing professional skills for all its employees.
Brighter Business Solutions employs eight full time staff and recent activities have seen the company almost double in size, with profits growing by 45 per cent since 2006.
BBS won the accolade for its continual development of its staff. The company currently employs two twelve month placement students from Leeds Metropolitan and Manchester University.
Some employees have done training schemes, such as the Introductory Certificate in First Line Manage-ment, the Professional Diploma in Management and NVQ's in Customer Services.
All employees are invited to be involved in the decision making processes of the company, which ultimately leads to a more productive workforce.
Ruth Robinson, Managing Director, Brighter Business Solutions said: "To be awarded the Investor's in People Award is no mean feat and we are proud to be able to demonstrate our dedication to continued development.
"As a small business it is great that we can utilise all the skills within the team to full advantage and take on undergraduates to allow them to complete their course."
