RAMBLERS in Pendle have only a few days to go before the borough's walking festival kicks off again.
The festival runs from next Friday, August 31, to Monday September 1, with more than 40 fully-guided walks catering for all abilities.
Those who complete the new "Big Four O Challenge", a three-day, 400-mile trek through two sections of the West Craven Way, as well as climbing the borough's "three peaks" of Pendle, Weets and Boulsworth, will receive a certificate.
Experienced walkers will also be able to try the guided open access walks over rugged moorland, while beginners can take a trip round Marsden Park led by park keepers.
A free Pendle Walking Festival programme is available from www.pendle.gov.uk/walking
