A FORMER pupil of Bowland High School in Grindleton and Blackburn's St Mary’s College has been honoured by Prince Andrew.
Lauren Hall was awarded his Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Award after founding her company last year..
She graduated with a degree in Theatre and a Masters in Theatre and Performance from York St John University,
Now Ms Hall is managing director of Chatburn-based Impact Media Productions which she soon after leaving university.
Prince Andrew, The Queen's second son who holds the title Duke of York, personally presented her with award.
In founding the company she decided use her theatre expertise to create unique visual content including videos for Personal, Social, Health and Education (PSHE) lesson for schools across the country.
Ms Hall said: “I’m so honoured to receive this amazing award.
"I’m passionate about making a social impact and wanted to use my skills in theatre and production to create content for and with clients on socially relevant issues that explain and analyse those issues through the eyes of the audience.
"With Impact Media, I can help to educate through engagement and participation using media and drama.”
