A MILL will give visitors the chance to experience an Edwardian Bank Holiday this weekend.
Queen Street Mill and Textile Museum, Harle Syke, Burnley, will transport visitors back to a time when workers got few holidays and often went to the seaside to celebrate well deserved time off.
There will be a seaside activities including a Punch and Judy show, and visitors can also take a stroll down the promenade' and try a penny lick' ice cream.
There will also be a visit from a representative of the Edwardian vote for women' Suffragette movement and a member of Baden-Powell's new scouting movement on site to teach knot tying.
Mill assistant keeper Catherine Pearson said: "It would nice to offer a true seaside atmosphere in the middle of Burnley. We have contingency plans in case of rain."
The museum is open over the weekend from noon to 5pm, and activities will be run from 2pm to 4pm.
