A SECOND man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Steven Taylor during a party at his home.

Police are questioning a 37-year-old local man about the events that took place at house party in Primrose Terrace, Darwen, on Saturday. Unemployed Mr Taylor was found with a stab wound at around 4am and later died in hospital.

Officers are also continuing their appeal for information as to the whereabouts of Craig Anthony Cosgrove, who they want to question in relation to Mr Taylor's death.

A description of 33-year-old Cosgrove, of Newton Street, Darwen, has been circulated and the public have been warned not to approach him.

Cosgrove is described as being 6ft, of heavy build, with dark brown hair and has numerous tattooes on both arms. He speaks with a Scottish accent.

Another man, 27-year-old Rodney Elliott Kay, of Rose Street, Darwen, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court on Monday charged with Mr Taylor's murder.

Police are still searching for the weapon used in the incident, believed to be a large knife. Anyone with information about the incident, or the whereabouts of Cosgrove, is asked to contact police on 01254 51212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
