A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl is in a critical condition in hospital after being involved in a collision with a motorbike which failed to stop at the scene.
The child was in Midgley Street, Colne, at 8.29pm when she was struck.
She was taken to Burnley Hospital with serious head injuries before being transferred to Pendlebury Hospital, Manchester. She is said to be in a critical condition and has been put under sedation.
At 9.30pm a 17-year-old local man attended Colne police station and was arrested in connection with the incident.
Police have spoken to a number of witnesses but are appealing for anyone else with information to contact Sgt Martin Bishop on 01282 472431.
