At approximately 9am tomorrow morning (Tuesday), the town crier Peter Cornwell will be performing the annual crying of the fair.
This will take place on the road at Town Gate and is followed by a short walk to Bank Mill House for tea, biscuits and a natter! The tradtional event has been going since being granted by Royal Charter in 1338 and in attendance will be the Mayor and Mayoress along with town councillors.
Traffic will be stopped for a short while, as the procession moves through the town. It is advised that you avoid the town centre if you can between 8.45am and 9.15am.
