A DRIVING school is celebrating after coming top of the class in an inspection by the Driving Standards Agency and Ministry for Transport.
Helmshore-based Quicksilver Driving School has been awarded the highest grade possible for driving instructor training following the inspection.
In addition, the school, set up four years ago by husband and wife team John and Margaret Atherton, is the only East Lancashire driving school to qualify to be included on the Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers, which recognises first-rate teaching standards in excellence in overall business practice.
The company currently has four instructors, covering all of East Lancashire, and there are plans to increase the total to seven over the next year.
