COUNCIL tenants in the Ribble Valley are being advised to visit a show home showcasing some of the improvements that could be on the cards for residents.
The house, at 26 Seedall Avenue, Clitheroe, features a range of home improvements including kitchen units and bathroom suites that will be on offer to tenants if their houses are transferred to the new registered social landlord, Ribble Valley Homes.
Tenants are invited to visit the show home and see the standards of workmanship and materials that their houses will benefit from if transfer is approved, unlocking extra funding for the area.
Transfer to Ribble Valley Homes will see about £65million of investment in homes and services over 30 years. Ribble Valley Council tenants are currently being consulted on the proposed transfer and will be asked to vote on the issue in a confidential postal ballot later this year.
If a majority of tenants vote in favour of the proposal, the homes will transfer next year.
The show home is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-7pm until the end of August.
