A YOUTH club has been brought back to life following a community asset transfer.
Lancashire County Council’s cabinet agreed the community asset transfer of Brunshaw youth club to Charter House activity centre for 125 years.
The Charter House team will will provide 'vital' community services to Brunshaw, Burnley and East Lancashire, including youth club evenings for various age groups, a community garden and local events, such as social evenings and BBQs.
Charter House group currently provides day care and sensory room services for disabled people, based on Saunder Bank, Burnley.
Around £60,000, which has been generated by the Big Issue and the National Lottery, will be used to renovate the building which has stood empty for over 12 months.
Charter House Activity centre manager Jason Smith said: "We would like to thank everyone involved with the project, which will make a huge difference to community services in Burnley."
