WANNABE David Attenborough's have been invited to take part in a wildlife 'bioblitz' event in Burnley's Thompson Park.
A Burnley Council spokesman said the aim is to get a clearer picture of what wildlife, big and small, is living in the park.
He said: "It's a chance to learn about Burnley's biology and the fascinating creatures that inhabit our parks and will be a great day out for everyone, young and old.
"It's also an opportunity to see how the park's being transformed thanks to a £1.2million restoration programme.
"The event will include guided walks up the River Brun, worm charming sessions and, of course, mini beast hunts, as well as a display of owls and a wildlife quest."
The event will take place on Saturday, June 23, between 10am and 4pm.
