Two Blackburn Scout Leaders have been selected to attend a global scouting event.
Emily Delves and Matthew Powell, who are leaders at St. George’s Scout Group in Mill Hill, Blackburn have been chosen from hundreds of leaders from across the UK to attend the World Scout Jamboree on the International Service Team next year. The event will see scouts from across the world come together for 12 days of adventure and friendship at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia, USA next July
Mr Powell said “We are absolutely thrilled to be selected.
"Our role will be to support Scouts from across the world ensuring they have an amazing experience.
"I attended the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in 2011 as a participant and so know first-hand what a life changing experience a Jamboree is.”
