A MOTORIST was left shaken after a crash at a 'very dangerous junction'.
Police were called to the incident in the junction of Kelbrook road and Earby road in Salterforth this morning.
A witness said the car, a silver Renault Clio, knocked over a lamppost and crushed a bollard when it was pushed on top of a traffic island following a collision with another vehicle.
He said: "There was a collision between two vehicles at the dangerous junction of Kelbrook road and Earby road in Salterforth.
"One of the vehicles was seriously damaged, coming to a halt in the middle of the road after colliding with a traffic island.
"The occupants of this vehicle were very badly shaken."
A police spokesman said officers attended the crash but will not be investigating the collision.
He said: "It was a damage only incident.
"We will not be pursuing it."
