The author of a book on Christian/Muslim co-operation and dialogue will be at Blackburn Cathedral on Friday (March 23).
The visit is part of a national and international tour The Jihad of Jesus is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Dave Andrews
The intention is to engage Christians and Muslims in exploring together the common quest for justice and peace.
The book shows how constructive dialogue between Muslims and Christians allows each to affirm faith and nurture solidarity, to make connections, and to find new ways to bridge two very distinct faith traditions.
The session on Friday lasts from 6pm to 9pm. Food will be served on arrival .
Mr Andrews and British Muslim activist Julie Siddiqui will engaging in a distinctive conversation on the issues raised by his book.
It will provide the audience with a do-it-yourself guide for Christians and Muslims to work side by side for justice and peace.
The Bishop of Burnley Philip North and local Imam Saleem Seedat will also take part in the discussion.
The Rt Rev North said: “I am very excited by this event which will bring together people of different faiths and perspectives with a shared desire to make a stand for peace, reconciliation and justice”.
