A FIRE broke out in a three-storey block of flats last night.
The blaze, in Vernon Street, Darwen, was reported at about 9pm in a ground floor flat.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue said there were no casualties.
Two fire crews from Darwen equipped with breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to put out the fire.
Firefighters used a portable fan unit to extract the smoke and heat.
The cause of the fire has not been established.
