POLICE were called to a supermarket after a shopper said he was threatened with a knife.
Officers were called to Aldi in Todmorden Road, Burnley, shortly after 9pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said they were called by a shopper who said he had been threatened by a man with a knife.
He said the man had tried to attack him with the knife and threatened to stab him.
The spokesman said: "Police attended what turned out to be a scuffle between two men.
"There had been some kind of altercation outside in which one of the men was offended.
"The men entered the supermarket and the scuffle broke out.
"No knife was seen.
"We have looked into the incident and there has been a verbal argument between the two men in the past.
"We are investigating it because a threat has been made however no one has been arrested."
