A LIBRARY which has been closed for more than a year will reopen in a village.
The official reopening of Barrowford Library, which is situated on Ann Street, Barrowford, will take place next Monday at 9am.
Following the closure of 26 of the county's 73 libraries by Lancashire County Council towards the end of 2016, a new administration, which was elected in May 2017, has decided to re-open as many libraries as possible.
Plans have been agreed in recent months for the phased reopening of libraries, and Barrowford will be the eighth to reopen following the reopening of Burnley Campus Library, and Fulwood Library in late 2017.
Barrowford Library will be reopened by County Councillor Christian Wakeford, who represents the local area.
Opening times for the library will be: Monday from 9am to 5pm, Wednesday from 9am to 1pm, Thursday from 9am to 7pm, Friday from 9am to 5pm, Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
It will be closed on Tuesdays and Sundays.
