BURNLEY FC are being kitted out to raise awareness of testicular cancer with the help of an underwear designer.
The Clarets have teamed up with Oddballs to produce boxer shorts for players to wear in training and on matchdays this season.
They have also designed Burnley FC underwear which are being sold at official club stores and online.
Staff at Oddballs said they had initially started working with fellow Premier League team Huddersfield Town.
Kit men at the Terriers then spoke with their Burnley counterparts which encouraged them to get in touch with the company.
Will Cooper, managing director at Oddballs, said: "They had got in touch and they really liked it.
"Since the start of the season players have been wearing it in training and in matches.
"The club shop really liked it and they have bespoke pairs for everyone to buy.
"We wanted to get them in the club shop to provide some quality boxers and to help raise awareness.
"It's great to have a club of that stature behind us to raise testicular cancer awareness.
"We want to invoke conversation and start conversation to remove the stigma.
"Everyone buys packs of pants, hopefully it will increase the number of people checking.
"We are quite big in rugby and this is a way to push into football to spread the message.
The pants have a guide on the back of them guiding men on what to do to check their health.
Oddballs was founded in 2014 aiming to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer and provide comfortable underwear.
Profits from Oddballs are donated to the Foundation to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer.
James Forsyth, head of retail at Burnley FC, said: "The company Oddballs was brought to my attention from working with the first team.
"Upon hearing about the cause and what they were doing to raise awareness for testicular cancer through the Oddball boxers, we jumped at the chance to become a partner of theirs and to create our own exclusive Burnley boxers with them.”
The pants can also be bought from the clubs online shop at https://www.burnleyfc.talent-sport.co.uk.
Oddballs have also been supported by International Rugby and Country Cricket teams and have been endorsed by a variety of celebrities.
