A FARMER has put in plans to build an agricultural worker’s house to serve his poultry unit.
Richard Robinson, who lives at Lower Edge Farm in Slaidburn, has submitted plans to Ribble Valley Council to create a development at the poultry unit in Tosside for residential purposes.
It will be used to enable a full-time agricultural worker to be available on the farm to attend ‘essential’ duties connected with free range egg-laying operations on the site.
If the proposal is accepted, athe scale of the development will be the erection of a single four-bedroom house will be built. The proposed house will be traditionally designed, with natural stone walls and a slate roof.
Access to the public highway will be remain at the existing farm entrance to Tosside Road.
The application will be discussed at the next planning committee meeting.
