TWO people were taken to hospital after a crash yesterday.
The incident happened at around 4.10pm on the A59 at Sawley, near Clitheroe and the fire service said it involved two vehicles.
Firefighters and paramedics helped release both casualties from the vehicles before taking them to hospital.
The road was shut following the incident but has since re-opened.
A fire service spokesman said: "Two fire engines from Clitheroe and Barnoldswick attended a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A59 at Sawley, Clitheroe.
"Two casualties were released from the vehicles by both firefighters and paramedics and taken to hospital."
