A VETERINARY practice is providing a healthcare cash plan as part of its commitment to retain staff.
The Colne-based Stanley House organisation has appointed Sovereign Health Care for the plan, under which its 61 employees can claim money back for the cost of dental treatment, eye tests, physiotherapy and more.
The practice, established in 1921, was voted employer of the year at the Pendle Business Awards last year, with employees welcoming the plan.
Practice manager Elizabeth Edmondson Day said: “We’ve found that colleagues are very grateful when they receive money back for routine healthcare.
“It’s also useful when someone has a serious problem because they can claim towards a private consultation fee and access treatment quicker.”
Emma Gatenby, corporate account manager at Sovereign Health Care, said: “The plan implemented by Stanley House Veterinary Surgeons is a cost-effective and simple way of improving employee wellbeing and we are delighted its employees have welcomed the plan.”
Stanley House provides care for small animals, horses and farm animals in Pendle, Burnley and the surrounding areas.
It is also an approved veterinary nurse training centre.
