AN East Lancashire town travelled back to the 60s and 70s this weekend to raise money for charity.
Guests, who were inspired by Mods and Flower Power, had their faces painted and took selfies with a lifesize custom made campervan prop while photographer Howard Wilkinson took group portraits.
There was live music from the band Off the Record with prizes awarded for best costumes to Gill Hastewell, Sam Ashworth and Sian Beeson and for best dancer to Kirsty Ward.
A spokeswoman said: "The event raised an amazing £793 pounds towards the Mayor’s Charity Fund.
"This year the Mayor and Mayoress of Whitworth will be supporting some of the wonderful groups and charities who do so much to make Whitworth the place it is.
"The funds will be distributed to local groups of their choice at the end of their Mayoral year in May."
The mayoress and the clerk are now arranging an 'out of the ordinary' civic event for April.
