STRIKING images of East Lancashire feature in a new collection of pictures by an accomplished photographer.
Scenes from Clitheroe, Pendle Hill, Nick of Pendle, Ribchester, Sawley, Slaidburn, Colne and Haslingden are among dozens captured by Jon Sparks for 'Lancashire in Photographs'.
Mr Sparks is a freelance photographer and writer specialising in the outdoors who has been based in the county all his working life.
He said: "Photographing Lancashire has been an important part of my professional life for over 25 years and I was doing it as an amateur long before that.
"Walking is always a natural complement to landscape photography but I've gained different and equally valuable perspectives from noth road and mountain bikes.
"Rock climbing and the odd bit of ghyll scrambling have brought me up close and personal with yet more corners of the county.
"I've been photographing Lancashire for a long time and I'm not tired of it yet. It may not have made me rich but it's made my life richer."
The collection has been released by Amberley Publishing, of Stroud, Gloucestershire, and costs £16.99.
