A SPECIAL concert will be held in memory of a band's former member.
Slaidburn Silver Band will be presenting a concert in memory of their former member Jenny Bradley who died in September, aged 89.
Jenny had been a member of for many years and retired from the band in 2015 in her 87th year.
The concert will include some of Jenny's favourite pieces and music from each decade of her life from the 1920s to the present day.
John Cowking, the conductor of Slaidburn Silver Band, said: "Jenny was a member for over 20 years.
"She was a very committed person, to the village and area as well as the band,
"She was well liked by everyone in the band we thought this was a good way of remembering Jenny."
Light refreshments will be served at the concert, with a retiring collection and proceeds being divided between the band and the Slaidburn Archive which Jenny helped to create.
Anyone can attend the concert which will take place at Newton in Bowland Village Hall, Newton-in-Bowland, Clitheroe on Sunday October 22 at 2.30pm.
