A ROOF of a house undergoing renovation work was damaged after a fire.
Fire crews attended Ghyll Meadows in Barnoldswick at around midnight.
Firefighters broke through the roof of the building and extinguished the flames.
Watch manager Gary Larter said no one was inside the property but the building next door was evacuated due to a small amount of smoke entering it.
He said: "Ventilation unit was used to clear the smoke from the property.
"We believe the fire had started around recent renovation work carried out on first floor of the property."
