A TRADITIONAL Morris dancing performance is set to take place next month.
A 17-strong team of passionate dancers will be performing the traditional English folk dance at Colne’s Hallowe’en market on Saturday, October 28.
The group, aged between 17 and 65, will be wearing orange, brown and gold skirts, black t-shirts, a specially designed matching Lancashire rose and black clogs.
A spokesman said: “Prior to the performance we are having a ‘dress rehearsal’ practice on October 2 at the Pendle Inn, Barley.
“Do come and watch us and encourage us at either venue. If anyone is interested they should call 07887844025 or email familycrewe@hotmail.com, or just turn up. It is open to people with no experience at all, some experience or lots.
“Practices are held three out of four weeks from 7pm to 9pm on Mondays, usually in Roughlee Village Centre, Roughlee.”
