TWO GCSE students from Blessed Trinity RC College are hoping to make it big in the football world.
Naomi Hartley, who picked up 10 GCSEs, has just signed for Liverpool’s women’s team.
While headboy Kasom Shah, who also secured 10 GCSEs, has just signed a two year scholarship with Accrington Stanley.
Naomi, who has played for England Under 15s, is planning to study for a BTEC in football.
She said: “I was at Manchester United but I signed for Liverpool this summer to play in their development squad and hopefully make it into the Liverpool first team- that’s my aim.
“I want to be a full-time professional footballer and I am ready to work hard.”
Kasom Shah played for Accrington Stanley’s under 12s team.
He said: “I have always wanted to play football. It is the best thing, training, playing football and learning about nutrition every day. We have been training with the Accrington first team in pre-season so it has been a good experience. I just have to keep pushing and see where it goes.”
