A 1,000-acre estate is to join East Lancashire’s range of wedding venues.
The Gisburne Park estate at Gisburn is to launch as a wedding location late next month. Only a limited number will be allowed for the sake of preserving exclusivity.
Sarah McGrail, director of weddings, said the family-owned estate was a ‘marquee venue’ and added that the estate planned to create a wedding experience ‘unrivalled in the Ribble Valley’.
She said: “As a wedding venue, Gisburne Park Estate allows couples the exclusive hire of 10 acres of Ribble Valley countryside. With a private entrance through gatehouses, guests will be impressed from the very start.
“The estate is ideally suited for couples who are looking to put together a unique day that best suits their character.
“We are a venue like no other and for any couples looking to wow their guests, we are the perfect choice.”
Gisburne Park Estate has been owned since 2003 by Guy Hindley and his American actress wife Amber Mead. It is also home to an equestrian centre and the Ribblesdale Holiday Park.
Couples can marry at the historic St Mary the Virgin Church in Gisburn, which is on the edge of the estate. Celebrant-led ceremonies can also be staged on the estate.
Riverside House, a three-bedroom house with garden views over a river, is home to a bridal suite.
Ms McGrail added: “We will be allowing only a limited number of weddings to take place in this exclusive setting.
“Our intention is to create a wedding experience that is unrivalled in the Ribble Valley.”
The overall package, besides seven days’ exclusive use of the 10 acres, includes seven nights’ accommodation in Riverside House, a luxury garden marquee with glass panel sides and a photo trail.
Overnight guests can be accommodated in luxury lodges at Ribblesdale Park. There are more than 50 lodges and several historic cottages, while a heated outdoor swimming pool and gourmet cafe are also available. Special rates are offered to wedding guests choosing overnight stays.
Catering is provided by Darwen-based With a Twist, a top-end wedding and event caterer.
Another wedding partner is the Kimberley Anne Bridal Boutique, which is based in Clitheroe.
The launch event is due to take place on the evening of September 28.
