This Manc two-some might just have come up with their ticket to the big time.

That's Not My Name features plenty of hand claps, attitude and a surprisingly good pop sensibility for an under-produced recording of an unsigned band.

They've also managed some impressive radio coverage and comparisons to The Pipettes.

Which is - handclaps aside - utterly unfounded: The Ting Tings are much punchier, more exciting and generally less annoyingly, tediously conceptual than the aforementioned polka-dotted girl trio.

Even B-side Great DJ is pretty good, suggesting that there's more to The Ting Tings than just one great song.
